Soliant is urgently assisting a school district in the Darien, Connecticut area in their search for a BCBA.

The caseload would include 2-3 classrooms of students either with ASD or other related disabilities who receive "BCBA Consult."
The BCBA would consult with the classroom teachers involved, school administration, RS providers, and families for student on his/her caseload in areas such as decreasing student maladaptive behavior, shaping appropriate behavior, supporting students' skill acquisition by offering strategies to the team, and being a part of any school-based crisis team this school may have that assists students, who, in the moment may be having more significant behavioral difficulties (elopement, aggression, etc.).
In addition, the BCBA would be responsible for conducting any FBAs and VB MAPPs (in conjunction with other team members as appropriate) and developing and overseeing implementation of any needed BIPs for students. The BCBA would be consulting on the behavioral IEP goals for any students in his/her caseload and function as a member of the PPT team

The ideal candidate for this position should have the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field.
  • BCBA certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • At least two years of experience working with children with autism and other developmental disabilities in a school setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and data collection methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
