Full Time Elementary School ABA Job Opening Near Ashby, MA

Sunbelt Staffing is working with a school district in the Ashby, MA area to hire a Full time, elementary level paraprofessional. The students primarily have mild-moderate behavioral disabilities such as autism.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs): Identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors through data collection, observations, and interviews.
• Develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs): Create individualized plans that outline strategies and interventions to address problem behaviors and promote positive alternatives.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collect data on student behaviors, analyze trends, and use this information to adjust and refine intervention strategies.
• Direct Intervention: Provide one-on-one or small group instruction and support to students with behavioral challenges, implementing behavior modification techniques as needed.
• Collaborate with Teachers and Staff: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education teams, and other school personnel to coordinate efforts and ensure consistency in implementing behavior plans.
• Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers to provide updates on progress and discuss strategies for reinforcing behavior interventions at home.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MA ABA credentials 
• Experience working with children or in a school setting
• Experience working with disabilities such as Autism
