Full Time School Psychologist Job K - 12 Grade
ProCare Therapy is now interviewing licensed School Psychologist for an opening on our team in a supportive district in Evergreen Park, Illinois.  The psychologist in this role will be working with students from Kindergarten to 5th grade for the full school year. This position is full time working 35 - 40 hours a week working with mostly Mild - Moderate disabilities, with about 30 evaluations a year. The district is currently only considering school psychologist with the ability to work onsite. 


Qualifications : 

  • Master's Degree or Higher in School Psychology is Required
  •  Illinois School Psychologist License is Required 
  • Must have PEL
  • New Grads Welcome!

 

Job Summary:
The school psychologist provides a comprehensive array of assessment, consultation and school mental health services as specified by the school administrator.  As a member of the IEP team, assists with eligibility determinations, along with IEP development, monitoring and implementation.

Duties: 

Essential duties of this position include the following.  Employees in this position perform some or all of the following tasks.  Other duties may be assigned including: 

  • Screen students for potential psychological issues and make recommendations for treatment plans based on this screening
  • Network with teachers and families to create 504 plans and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that help ensure success for kids who have disabilities
  • Counsel students and parents while pointing them toward further resources when needed
  • Collaborate with the special education team to design and implement intervention strategies and programs
  • Administer therapy to children with developmental, learning or behavioral delays
  • Work with at-risk youth who are in need of educational intervention to help them achieve success
  • Analyze and treat school children using psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding student health and academic records
