Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Paraprofessional
Job Description: As an RBT/Paraprofessional, you will work closely with a team of behavior analysts, special education teachers, and therapists to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Your primary responsibility will be to provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children with autism spectrum disorders or other developmental disabilities. You will be responsible for implementing behavior reduction protocols, teaching functional skills, collecting data on behavior and skill acquisition, and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans developed by behavior analysts
- Provide direct one-on-one ABA therapy to children with developmental disabilities
- Teach functional skills based on individualized goals and objectives
- Collect accurate and reliable data on behavior and skill acquisition
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and modify treatment plans
- Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and other team members
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification OR willingness to obtain certification (ProCare Therapy can provide assistance and support)
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and implement interventions effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in working with children
