Full-Time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - San Rafael, CA

ProCare Therapy, a leading provider of educational staffing solutions, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time School-Based 1:1 Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team in Pittsburg, CA for the upcoming summer and the 2023-2024 school year. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities within a school environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, implementing behavior intervention plans developed by the school's multidisciplinary team.
• Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions to support the academic, social, and behavioral goals of the students.
• Collect and analyze data to monitor progress, evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, and make data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to ensure consistent and coordinated support for each student.
• Support students in generalizing skills across various settings within the school environment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by promoting social skills, self-regulation, and independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with the school staff and parents regarding the students' progress and any concerns.
• Attend team meetings, professional development sessions, and workshops to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in the field.

Requirements:

• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
• Ability to adapt and modify strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the ability to implement behavior support strategies aligned with IEP goals.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
