School Psychologist

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist for a school district in El Cajon, California. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, social, and academic development of students, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and special needs
• Provide individual and group counseling to students dealing with emotional or behavioral challenges
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support student success
• Assist in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans
• Conduct crisis interventions when necessary and provide appropriate referrals
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and interventions
• Stay up-to-date with relevant research and best practices in the field of school psychology

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution
• Valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with authorization in School Psychology
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and administrators
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to special education and student services in California
