Blazerworks is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to join our team in La Grange, IL. This is a full-time position partnered with the local school district, offering competitive pay, comprehensive vision, medical, and dental options, advisory support, professional development opportunities, and renewal for the 2023-2024 school year.
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
- Interpret assessment results and collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized intervention plans and educational programs for students.
- Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges, and support crisis intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior, social-emotional learning, and academic success for all students.
- Serve as a resource to school teams and families in understanding and addressing the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities and special learning needs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to create a positive and inclusive school climate and promote student well-being.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessment results, interventions, and progress monitoring data in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current on best practices, research findings, and legal regulations related to school psychology and special education, and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
- Experience working as a School Psychologist in a K-12 educational setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, consultation, and intervention skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices related to assessment, eligibility determination, and the development of individualized education programs (IEPs).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
