School Psychologist

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist for a school district in San Antonio, TX. Explore more of the position details below. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute to the development and review of special education plans.
• Offer consultation and support to teachers and staff regarding student behavior management and classroom strategies.
• Facilitate workshops and training sessions for educators and parents on topics related to mental health and educational support.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and counseling sessions.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).
• Knowledge of federal and state special education laws and regulations.
• Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity in working with diverse populations.
