Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Social Worker to join our team on a full-time, temporary basis until the end of the current school year. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of our students, collaborating with educators and parents to ensure a positive and enriching school experience.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for students
- Provide counseling and intervention services to address social and emotional challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to create a supportive and inclusive environment
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Connect students and families with external resources and services as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Connecticut State License in School Social Work
- Previous experience working in an educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
