School Psychologist

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to for a school dsitrict in San Antonio, Texas. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping children thrive in their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop effective strategies and interventions for students
• Providing counseling and crisis intervention services to students in need
• Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contributing to the development and implementation of educational plans
• Conducting research to improve educational practices and outcomes for students
• Serving as a resource for teachers and staff in understanding and addressing students' behavioral and emotional needs
• Promoting a positive school climate and supporting the social-emotional development of all students

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
• Texas State licensure as a School Psychologist
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionals
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
