School Psychologist

ProCare Therapy is working with a school district in San Antonio, TX to find a school psychologist for the remainder of the school year. 

As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, emotional, and social well-being of our students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
• Provide individual and group counseling to students to address personal and academic challenges.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement effective interventions and strategies.
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide input on educational plans for students with special needs.
• Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts within the school community.
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on topics related to child development, behavior management, and mental health.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Texas state certification as a School Psychologist.
• Experience in a school or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and students.
• Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in the field of school psychology.
