School Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Opportunity - Arroyo Grande, CA

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Arroyo Grande, CA. As a BCBA, you will play a crucial role in providing leadership, guidance, and support to students, teachers, and the multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing effective behavior intervention plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and functional behavior assessments to determine individual student needs and develop appropriate behavior intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BSPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide training and support to teachers and paraprofessionals in implementing behavior interventions and strategies in the classroom.
- Conduct staff development workshops to enhance the overall understanding of behavior management techniques and positive behavior support strategies.
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and make data-driven decisions to modify and improve behavior interventions.
- Conduct behavioral observations and provide feedback to teachers and staff on effective classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated services and support for students with special needs.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of assessments, progress reports, and behavior plans.
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BCBA, preferably within a school setting.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior intervention plans.
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing skills.
- Ability to provide training and support to teachers and staff in implementing behavior management strategies.
- Proficiency in the use of behavior management software and technology.
Salary and Benefits:
- $35.00+ hourly for direct and indirect services - based on relevant experience and education
