School Psychologist opening in Midwest City

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract School Psychologist to join our team in Midwest City, Oklahoma. As a Contract School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting students from Pre-K-5th grade, conducting assessments, providing consultation to teachers, and actively participating in IEP meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Assess students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral development to identify areas of concern
- Collaborate with teachers and other school personnel to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Attend IEP meetings and provide valuable insights and recommendations based on assessment results
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding testing procedures, assessment outcomes, and individualized support plans
- Address emergency situations promptly, involving mental health issues, threats to others, or self-harm concerns
- Regularly attend staff meetings to stay updated on school policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Valid OK certification as a School Psychologist
- Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field
- Previous experience working with Pre-K-5th grade students in an educational setting
- Proficient in conducting psychological assessments and interpreting results
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently
Employment Details:
- Employment type: Contract
- Hours: 35-40 hours per week
- Caseload: Pre-K to 5th grade students
- Testing assignments will be given as consent is obtained
