Seeking a passionate and skilled School Psychologist ready to make an immediate impact by joining a supportive educational setting in the Anderson, SC area. This is a direct hire, full-time role running from now through the end of the school year. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and students, fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring every student’s needs are thoughtfully met.
The role centers around conducting evaluations for Special Education eligibility and utilizing your expertise to support students with diverse needs. The district values a proactive, insightful school psychologist adept at comprehensive assessments and collaborative problem-solving.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold an active South Carolina School Psychologist License
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in school settings is highly preferred
- Skilled in evaluating Specific Learning Disabilities using the PSW (Patterns of Strengths and Weaknesses) model
- Demonstrated knowledge in assessing for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disturbance, Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
- Eagerness to contribute to a team-driven, student-focused environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive evaluations for Special Education eligibility
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored supports for students
- Assess and address a range of student needs, including cognitive, emotional, and behavioral concerns
- Participate in IEP meetings and consult with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality standards
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing support as needed
