Bring your expertise and passion to a school-based contract role designed for dedicated School Psychologists. This full-time opportunity runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, working Monday to Friday, serving a diverse student population across elementary, middle, and high school levels.
Candidates must be licensed as a School Psychologist in Illinois and comfortable with a caseload primarily focused on reevaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, functional behavioral assessments, and some initial evaluations. The role offers two unique assignments:
- Early Childhood School Psychologist (0.6 FTE, three days a week): Responsible for screening and evaluating children ages 3-5 transitioning out of early intervention, and coordination between multiple preschools. Strong communication skills are essential to connect with families new to special education, collaborate with general education partners, and support special education teams.
- K-4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE, five days a week): Evaluate elementary students, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, support the IEP process, and help with problem-solving. The ideal candidate will communicate clearly with families and facilitate both initial and reevaluation IEP meetings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois School Psychologist license
- Experience with diverse student populations (elementary, middle, high school)
- In-depth knowledge of special education law and best practices in evaluation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between local preschools for the early childhood assignment
- Commitment to supporting families and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
