Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across a vibrant suburban district as a licensed School Psychologist. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 academic year, running from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, and covers a diverse caseload at elementary, middle, and high school levels. Dive into meaningful work, conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, functional behavioral assessments, and occasional initial evaluations to support educational growth and student well-being.
Two immediate openings are available:

Early Childhood School Psychologist (0.6 FTE/3 days weekly): Serve children ages 3–5, screening and evaluating students as they transition from early intervention services. Travel between multiple local preschools to assess needs, maintain open communication with new families, and guide them through the special education process. Strong knowledge of special education law and best practices in early childhood is essential.

School Psychologist, Grades K–4 (1.0 FTE/5 days weekly): Evaluate elementary students, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, and support the IEP process for students and families. Be a key problem-solver and resource for parents navigating educational planning. Expertise in special education law and outstanding communication skills are crucial.
Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist license in the state of Illinois required
- Experience with re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
- Strong knowledge of special education law and IEP processes
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Previous experience supporting students and families through special education services preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations and assessments across multiple age groups
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to facilitate meetings and guide decisions
- Travel between school sites as needed
- Attend and lead IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
