As a licensed School Psychologist in Illinois, your expertise will help shape a positive learning environment for diverse student populations during the 2026-2027 academic year, with full-time and part-time opportunities available.
In this dynamic position, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to conduct re-evaluation review and eligibility meetings, lead functional behavioral assessments, and perform initial evaluations. Specific roles include:
• Early Childhood (0.6 FTE): Screen and evaluate young learners transitioning from early intervention, traveling between local preschools. Utilize your strong communication skills as you guide families new to special education through processes, coordinate with preschool partners, and attend IEP meetings. Current knowledge of special education law and best practices in early childhood is essential.
• Elementary (Grades K-4, 1.0 FTE): Evaluate and support students in K-4, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, and assist in IEP processes. Lead both initial and re-evaluation meetings, maintaining consistent communication with families and staff and providing ongoing problem-solving support to teams.
Qualifications:
• Valid Illinois School Psychologist license required
• Experience with evaluations, IEP processes, and functional behavioral assessments
• Strong communicator, adept at collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Familiarity with special education law and best practices
• Flexibility to travel within assigned schools/preschools as necessary
