School Psychologist in Arlington Heights, IL

This contract position offers you the chance to split your expertise between Vernon Hills and Lake Villa, with mornings dedicated to ECAT evaluations and meetings, and afternoons serving as a traditional school psychologist in Lake Villa.
Your schedule runs weekdays from 8:00am to 3:30pm, ensuring a reliable 7.5-hour workday that includes a lunch break. You'll play a pivotal role in helping students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in supportive educational environments.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active licensure and credentials to practice as a school psychologist
- Proven experience completing ECAT (Early Childhood Assessment Team) evaluations
- Strong understanding of the needs of students from early childhood through eighth grade
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Skilled in conducting student assessments, developing IEPs, and providing consultative support
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive ECAT evaluations and participate in related meetings for early learning students in Vernon Hills
- Spend part of each day in Lake Villa, providing traditional school psychologist support to students and staff
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and success
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to IEP and student support processes
- Offer crisis intervention and counseling services as needed
