Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid and current certification/licensure as a School Psychologist (or eligibility in Texas)
- Recent experience performing educational assessments and counseling in a school or district setting
- Proficiency in administering psychoeducational evaluations and interpreting results
- Ability to develop and implement student intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of current laws and ethical standards related to school psychology practice
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and parents to create and monitor interventions and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and recommend strategies
- Deliver staff workshops and consultation on mental health, behavior management, and classroom supports
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
- Stay up to date with best practices and continuing education in the field
