In this contract role, you’ll collaborate with special education students ranging from early childhood to high school, providing both direct services and vital support for school-wide mental health initiatives. Assignments are determined by need and availability, offering the opportunity to work with diverse student populations throughout the academic year.
What you’ll bring:
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Previous experience working as a school psychologist (required)
- Strong knowledge of student assessment tools and current practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaborative team skills
- Calm, solution-focused demeanor during crisis situations
- Outstanding critical thinking and organizational abilities
- Commitment to supporting diverse communities
- Proficiency with technology and documentation systems
Your responsibilities:
- Provide group and individual counseling to special education students per IEP goals
- Design interventions at individual, group, and systems levels
- Deliver mental health services within general education settings
- Complete thorough reporting, progress monitoring, and IEP documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, families, outside agencies, and support teams
- Conduct risk assessments, crisis management, and classroom support interventions
- Manage evaluations, observations, and develop individualized IEP goals and plans
- Attend multidisciplinary and behavioral health team meetings, professional development, and training sessions
- Offer psychoeducation, consultative support, wellness visits, and resource coordination
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, during the 2026-2027 school year. Flexible assignments and rich professional collaboration await the right candidates.
