School Psychologist - Arvada, CO

A rewarding contract opportunity is available for experienced School Psychologists eager to make a positive impact across the Denver area. In this dynamic, full-time role (35 hours, Monday through Friday, onsite), you will provide direct services to special education students ranging from early childhood through high school. Assignments and caseloads are determined on a first-come, first-served basis and will be finalized after district review.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group counseling aligned with IEP mental health service goals
- Develop and implement interventions at the student, group, or systems level addressing academic or emotional growth
- Provide mental health support within the general education classroom
- Document services with comprehensive reports and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with educators, families, caseworkers, and community agencies
- Respond to crisis situations, conduct suicide and threat assessments, and assist in safety plan development
- Complete assessments covering cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, and adaptive skills
- Gather data for Functional Behavioral Assessments and develop intervention plans
- Participate in IEP, MTSS, and behavioral health meetings, as well as professional learning communities
- Offer psychoeducation, wellness/home visits, and academic/behavioral consultations
- Connect students and families with critical community resources
Qualifications:
- Valid CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Master’s, Specialist, or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Minimum of 3 years’ prior school-based psychology experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with student assessments and reporting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and technology skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholder groups and stay calm under pressure
- Familiarity with crisis intervention and multi-tiered support structures
- Background check and district-specific credentialing required
