School Psychologist - Arvada, Colorado

Step into a critical role supporting students’ well-being and academic success as a school psychologist on an onsite contract beginning July 31, 2026, and running through May 26, 2027. This full-time opportunity spans 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with assignments throughout the Denver area. The caseload varies, covering students from early childhood through high school, assigned based on availability.
Qualifications:
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Valid CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Prior school-based experience essential
- Strong skills in student assessment, crisis management, and data-driven evaluation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal strengths
- Ability to provide support across academic, behavioral, and social-emotional domains
- Competence in working with diverse students and stakeholders
- Advanced computer technology proficiency
- Ability to maintain calm, prioritize, and problem-solve in dynamic school environments
- Willingness to complete background check and fingerprinting as required
What you’ll do:
- Deliver group and individual counseling in alignment with IEP mental health goals
- Lead crisis response including risk and threat assessments, safety planning, and mandated reporting
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive assessments addressing cognitive, behavioral, social, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate in IEP, special education, and behavioral health team meetings
- Consult with families, teachers, and community providers to support students’ academic and emotional growth
- Develop and document interventions, progress reports, service logs, and educational impact statements
- Facilitate professional development and psychoeducation for staff, students, and families
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and provide targeted support for students on 504 plans
