School Psychologist in Arvada, CO
Bring your expertise and compassion to support students’ growth as a School Psychologist serving a diverse group of learners in the Denver area. This full-time, onsite role runs from July 31, 2026, through May 26, 2027, on a contract basis. Dedicated professionals will work 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with specific school assignments and age ranges from early childhood through high school determined on a first-come, first-served basis.
Your skills will directly enhance the academic and social-emotional development of students by:
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering group and individual counseling aligned with IEP mental health service goals
- Designing and implementing data-driven interventions at individual, group, and systemic levels
- Collaborating with families, school staff, and outside agencies to support students’ needs
- Conducting crisis management, including suicide risk and threat assessments
- Completing student assessments in cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive skills; interpreting and writing evaluation reports
- Leading and participating in special education and behavioral health meetings
- Providing psychoeducation for staff, students, and families, along with general education interventions and behavioral consultation
- Documenting services, service logs, progress monitoring, and creating IEP goals
- Supporting the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) team and other school initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of previous school-based psychology experience
- Master’s, Specialist’s, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Strong student assessment, crisis response, and communication skills
- Proficiency in collaboration, rapport-building, and use of computer technology
- Calm demeanor and efficient multitasking, even in high-pressure situations
- Commitment to diversity and effective interactions with stakeholders of varied backgrounds
