You’ll be working closely with approximately 40 students, collaborating with both special education teams and campus leaders. The role requires participation in a two-step interview process—first with the SPED Coordinator and then with the School Principal. To be considered, candidates must hold a valid ‘Professional Special Services License’ from the Colorado Department of Education or be in the process of securing it (for those considering travel assignments).
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold or have applied for the Professional Special Services License (Colorado Department of Education)
- Previous experience as a School Psychologist in school settings
- Strong, demonstrated interview and communication skills – articulate your background effectively
- Energetic, positive, and lively presence around students and staff
- Commitment to working onsite throughout the contract
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, provide individualized interventions, and support mental health initiatives
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
- Develop and monitor IEPs and 504 Plans
- Deliver crisis response support and ongoing student counseling
- Advise on best practices for behavior and academic support strategies
