Desired Qualifications:
- Active CDE Special Service Provider License endorsement in School Psychology
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a school psychologist
- Master’s Degree, Educational Specialist, or Doctorate in School Psychology
- Advanced skills in student assessment and data-driven reporting
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a calm, solution-focused approach during crises
- Proficiency with technology to support assessments and documentation
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse community of educators, families, and outside service providers
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct counseling to special education students (individual & group)
- Design interventions addressing academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs
- Provide crisis management, including suicide risk and threat assessments and the development of safety plans
- Conduct IEP assessments, write detailed reports, and develop targeted IEP goals
- Lead and participate in school-based meetings and professional development sessions
- Consult and collaborate with families, teachers, school staff, and community partners
- Deliver staff psychoeducation, home/wellness visits, and behavioral consultation
- Facilitate MTSS and contribute to school-wide behavioral supports
