Key qualifications and desired experience:
- Hold a valid ‘Professional Special Services License’ through the Colorado Department of Education (active or in process for travelers)
- Prior experience as a School Psychologist within school settings preferred
- Strong, detailed communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your professional strengths and experiences during interviews
- Demonstrated enthusiasm, positivity, and energy working with students and educational teams
- Willingness to work onsite at assigned elementary schools with a caseload of about 40 students
- Ability to collaborate with special education coordinators, school administrators, teachers, and families
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and provide direct counseling or intervention services to students in need
- Collaborate closely with educational teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Facilitate parent and teacher consultations to support student development
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute valuable insights for student eligibility and progress meetings
- Support building a positive school climate and advocate for students’ academic, behavioral, and emotional success
