Key Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification recognized by the state of Illinois
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Experience supporting elementary-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of MTSS/RTI processes, special education eligibility, and child development
- Exceptional communication, consultation, and report-writing skills
- Comfortable conducting evaluations and facilitating eligibility meetings
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative school setting
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to design strategies addressing academic and behavioral concerns
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams, IEP meetings, and pre-referral processes
- Develop data-driven intervention plans and monitor progress for students
- Lead or support crisis intervention and prevention efforts as needed
- Provide consultation and resources to educators and parents to enhance classroom support and student well-being
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all professional interactions
