Exciting opportunity available for a dedicated professional specializing in school psychology to support a vibrant early childhood program serving children ages 3 and 4. This full-time, in-person position focuses on the well-being and development of young learners, providing essential support throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Experience conducting play-based assessments and screenings in early childhood settings
- Knowledge of the procedures for developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong communication, observation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive play-based assessments and screenings for preschool-aged children
- Participate in the initial IEP process, collaborating with educators and families to support student needs
- Provide day-to-day student assistance, delivering targeted interventions and monitoring progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for assessments and interventions
- Engage in professional collaboration with teachers, support staff, and administrators to foster a positive learning environment
- Attend orientation on August 11th and 12th and begin the school year on August 14th, working through May 28th
- Typical working hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, ensuring a supportive presence during the heart of the school day
