School Psychologist - Avon, IN
Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by providing vital psychological services onsite within a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity involves working across three schools, Monday through Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. The focus of the role is to drive high-quality special education evaluations and collaborate to foster student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct approximately 70 special education evaluations annually, administering and interpreting a range of psychoeducational assessments
- Serve as the primary psychologist for three school buildings, ensuring consistent support and expertise throughout the academic year
- Participate in monthly team meetings to coordinate services, review cases, and develop tailored interventions
- Collaborate closely with staff and families to support individualized education plans and reinforce a positive learning environment
- Maintain strict compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements
- Report directly to the district supervisor, sharing insights to inform school-wide decisions
Qualifications:
- Valid Indiana School Psychologist license required
- Demonstrated experience with psychoeducational assessments and making eligibility determinations preferred
- Thorough knowledge of special education law, policies, and best practices
- Strong communication skills for effective staff and family collaboration
- Ability to work effectively across multiple school settings
