Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in School Psychology
- Active certification or Maryland state licensure as a School Psychologist
- Strong grasp of assessment, intervention, and consultation practices within a school setting
- Familiarity with both individual and group counseling for children and adolescents
- Passion for working in diverse school communities
- Completion of district-specific background check/fingerprinting and compliance with House Bill 486
- Ability to participate in internal prescreen interviews to confirm fit and readiness
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to inform individualized education plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop strategies that address academic, social, and behavioral challenges
- Deliver direct counseling and preventive mental health services to students as needed
- Participate in eligibility meetings, multidisciplinary team discussions, and crisis interventions
- Advocate for best practices and positive educational outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and district requirements
