You’ll collaborate with educators and families to provide essential psychological services, helping create a supportive and inclusive atmosphere at the elementary level.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Delaware School Psychologist license (required)
- Experience providing psychological services within a school environment, preferably at the elementary level
- Strong assessment, counseling, consultation, and intervention skills
- Knowledgeable about best practices in psychoeducational evaluation and support
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities
- Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday for 35 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Willingness to comply with required $85 CBC fingerprinting (candidate responsibility)
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for students
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student achievement and well-being
- Deliver consultation and support for behavioral and academic interventions
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulations
- Serve as an active participant in the school’s problem-solving and intervention teams
