School Psychologist - Bolingbrook, Illinois
Make a direct impact on student success by providing essential psychological services across early childhood through 5th grade in a dynamic elementary school environment. This full-time, contract role runs from mid-August through early June and is ideal for a dedicated professional with experience in school psychology. You’ll support students in a building-based capacity at three locations, collaborating closely with educators, families, and other support staff.
Your expertise will be used to facilitate and schedule meetings, conduct various assessments, and contribute to multidisciplinary teams addressing students' diverse needs across all disability categories. The position offers stability with a Monday–Friday schedule, 6.5 hours each day, amounting to 32.5 hours per week.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
- State licensure/certification required for School Psychologists
- Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology
- Professional experience with children from early childhood to 5th grade
- Prior completion of student evaluations and counseling within a school setting
- Comfortable managing varied caseloads and working in multiple school buildings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with special education processes and IEP meetings
- Ability to speak Spanish, Polish, or Arabic considered an asset
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and facilitate IEP and intervention meetings
- Conduct assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for services
- Collaborate with educators and parents to design and monitor interventions
- Provide consultative support for academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Document services and communications according to school and district guidelines
