You’ll work with a diverse student population across one school, addressing their academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs while collaborating with educators and families to foster a positive learning environment.
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid Massachusetts School Psychologist license
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong understanding of typical school psychologist responsibilities, including assessments, counseling, and participation in IEP/504 team meetings
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines
- Flexibility and adaptability to address the unique needs of a diverse school community
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct psychological and educational assessments to support student growth and well-being
- Provide individual and group counseling as needed
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop effective intervention plans
- Contribute insights and recommendations to IEP/504 meetings and follow-up support
- Serve as an advocate for students’ academic and mental health needs
- Engage in ongoing problem-solving and crisis intervention as needed
