School Psychologist in Boston, MA
Step into a pivotal role guiding elementary students and supporting their academic, emotional, and behavioral development. Schools are seeking a skilled School Psychologist to lead as Team Chair for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time, onsite contract role serving elementary-aged students, where your expertise will ensure every child thrives in a supportive educational environment.
In this dynamic position, you’ll be the driving force behind student support teams—facilitating meetings, collaborating with educators and families, and managing an elementary-level caseload. Your leadership will empower staff and families to implement effective strategies, ensuring that every student receives the support they need.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (State of MA or eligible for transfer)
- Prior experience managing elementary caseloads
- Proven expertise as a Team Chair or facilitator of educational planning meetings
- Strong understanding of assessments, IEP development, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Able to work onsite daily; this role does not offer remote or virtual options
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as Team Chair for elementary support teams, managing meeting logistics and documentation
- Lead educational, eligibility, and planning meetings with teachers, families, and support staff
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop or oversee individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with staff and families to implement evidence-based interventions
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all relevant protocols and regulations
