A unique opportunity awaits for a skilled and compassionate school psychologist seeking a rewarding contract role supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Work closely with a diverse student body across three school sites in a dynamic educational setting located near Nellis AFB, NV. The position offers either full-time or part-time hours from August 10 through May 21, 2027, with all services delivered in person.
This role is ideal for a professional eager to make a positive impact on student well-being, academic achievement, and school culture. You'll serve as a key resource for students, staff, and families, collaborating alongside dedicated educators and support teams.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Hold (or be eligible to obtain) valid Nevada school psychologist licensure prior to the start date
- Experience or training in K-12 settings preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills
- Knowledge of current best practices in school psychology
- Ability to work flexibly across multiple school sites
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret findings for eligibility and intervention planning
- Provide individual and group counseling targeting academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop appropriate supports
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, offering expertise on student services and mental health
- Assist in designing and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Advocate for students’ educational and emotional needs across grade levels
