Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Experience with psychological assessments, behavioral interventions, and counseling for school-aged children
- Strong understanding of special education laws and processes
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for IEP development
- Provide individual and group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student intervention plans
- Consult with teachers and staff regarding classroom interventions and strategies
- Participate in and contribute to eligibility, manifestation, and problem-solving meetings
- Assist with crisis intervention and prevention initiatives as needed within the school community
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
