This school psychologist opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, spanning the full academic year with consistent weekday hours. With two to three full-time roles available, you’ll collaborate closely with educational teams to provide critical assessment, intervention, and advocacy for a diverse caseload—typically around 50 students.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut School Psychologist Certification – Endorsement #070 through CSDE, or eligibility for certification
- Master’s or specialist graduate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Completion of required coursework and a supervised internship or equivalent field experience as mandated by the state
- Solid understanding of special education law and best practices for intervention
- Strong communication, consultation, and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary school settings
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support eligibility decisions and intervention planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design educational and behavioral interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, manifesting determination processes, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct and consultative services, supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Provide crisis intervention, behavior management, and prevention programming as needed
