Step into an impactful contract assignment supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school levels in the Bridgeport, CT area. This school psychologist opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, spanning the full academic year with consistent weekday hours. With two to three full-time roles available, you’ll collaborate closely with educational teams to provide critical assessment, intervention, and advocacy for a diverse caseload—typically around 50 students.
Qualifications:
- Connecticut School Psychologist Certification – Endorsement #070 through CSDE, or eligibility for certification
- Master’s or specialist graduate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Completion of required coursework and a supervised internship or equivalent field experience as mandated by the state
- Solid understanding of special education law and best practices for intervention
- Strong communication, consultation, and teamwork abilities across multidisciplinary school settings
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to support eligibility decisions and intervention planning
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to design educational and behavioral interventions
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, manifesting determination processes, and multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver direct and consultative services, supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Provide crisis intervention, behavior management, and prevention programming as needed
