Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification (State of NY or eligibility)
- Master’s or Specialist Degree in School Psychology
- Previous experience working with high school students preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, intervention, crisis management, and consultation
- Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, students, families, and other support staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results to guide interventions
- Provide direct counseling and support to high school students
- Collaborate in the development and review of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers and staff to develop behavior intervention and support plans
- Respond to crises and assist with intervention strategies as needed
- Promote a positive school climate by supporting social, emotional, and behavioral health
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and multidisciplinary team meetings
