Step into a vital role supporting elementary and middle school students as an on-site Licensed Specialist in School Psychology. This contract opportunity starts August 10, 2026, and runs through May 21, 2027, offering 35 hours per week across five campuses. You will be providing essential evaluations and services around Autism (AU), Emotional Disturbance (ED), and Other Health Impairments (OHI)—including ADHD assessments, direct therapeutic services, and conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active License Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) or eligible Associate School Psychologist credential from the Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
- Experience in school-based environments highly preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are advantageous.
- Strong background in assessment, intervention, and consultation with younger learners.
- Expertise in developing and implementing FBAs/BIPs welcomed.
- Flexibility to work itinerantly between five schools, primarily with elementary students and select middle schoolers.
- Familiarity with credentialing through the Texas Education Agency; timely fingerprint clearance is essential and processing can take up to 10 business days.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic evaluations in accordance with district practices.
- Deliver direct counseling and intervention services to students as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators on eligibility, support plans, and crisis interventions as needed.
- Engage with families and staff to support student success across multiple campuses.
- Maintain thorough, timely evaluation records and participate actively in ARD/IEP meetings.
