Step into a rewarding role supporting early childhood education as a School Psychologist, focusing on preschool assessments and evaluations in a contract-based opportunity north of San Diego. In this full-time position (37.5 hours per week), you'll serve a preschool caseload, concentrating primarily on conducting and interpreting assessments and evaluations. Your expertise will help shape students' educational journeys by identifying developmental, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs early on.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology
- Valid California School Psychologist credential (Pupil Personnel Services/PPS), or eligibility to obtain
- Experience with preschool or early childhood assessments preferred
- Strong skills in assessment, report writing, communication, and collaboration
- Ability to thrive within a multidisciplinary team environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational and developmental assessments for preschool students
- Participate in initial evaluations and reevaluations
- Interpret assessment data and prepare detailed evaluation reports
- Attend and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
- Provide clear recommendations and support based on findings
- Help identify suitable educational services and interventions
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation in accordance with district and state standards
