Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, supporting students' growth and well-being for the 2024-2025 school year. Step into a pivotal role where you will collaborate with educators and families to foster positive learning environments. Starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 6, 2025, this position offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, totaling 37.5 hours each week. Assignments and caseloads are adaptable, allowing for negotiation to fit your professional strengths and personal preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer psychological assessments, testing, and diagnostic evaluations to identify student needs
- Recommend evidence-based interventions to maximize student learning and address social-emotional barriers
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to support student mental health
- Assist with the identification and placement of students requiring specialized services
- Implement and monitor behavior modification plans for students
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff to coordinate care
- Maintain thorough documentation and prepare dynamic progress reports for each student
Preferred Experience & Qualifications:
- Hold a current School Psychologist license for the state of Virginia
- Strong foundation in clinical assessment tools, counseling, and intervention techniques
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary educational team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
