With a Monday through Friday schedule totaling 35 hours per week, you’ll collaborate with a diverse team to evaluate needs, provide direct support, and foster positive outcomes for students of varying ages.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) licensure
- Active Psychology License for the state of Virginia
- Experience working in a school setting as a School Psychologist preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, intervention, and counseling skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to remaining fully on-site (no virtual or hybrid assignments)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for services
- Interpret assessment data and communicate findings to educational teams and families
- Develop and support the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention and consultative services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support students' academic and emotional needs
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding psychological and developmental concerns
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the district, including flexibility in assigned schools and caseload
