As a full-time School Psychologist supporting a PK-3rd grade building, you'll play a key part in fostering student success and promoting a positive, inclusive school environment. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and will have the support of a bilingual psychologist on-site 1-2 days each week. This building is recognized for its specialized programs serving students with significant disabilities, meaning your work will be both challenging and immensely meaningful.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed or eligible as a School Psychologist
- Experience working in cross-functional teams within educational settings
- Familiarity with diverse learner populations, especially students with more significant disabilities
- Strong communication, assessment, and consultation skills
- Ability to manage a high caseload effectively
- Commitment to supporting social, emotional, and academic needs of early learners
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Provide individual and group counseling to students as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop effective interventions
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to evaluation and eligibility decisions
- Advocate for students with disabilities, ensuring access to appropriate supports and services
- Support the whole building’s initiatives focused on student well-being
