Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification in the state
- Master’s or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or related field
- Familiarity with current assessment tools and evidence-based interventions
- Experience conducting psychological and academic evaluations for school-aged children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Previous experience in educational settings is highly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students’ academic, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective intervention and support plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise in student evaluation and recommending services as needed
- Deliver short-term counseling and crisis intervention for students facing academic or social challenges
- Promote safe and supportive learning environments through data-driven practices and consultative support
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Provide professional guidance to staff and families on best practices for supporting student development
