Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist (state-required)
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessments, interventions, and special education evaluation processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain organized, thorough documentation
- Commitment to ethical practices in accordance with professional guidelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments and interpret results for educational planning
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop effective strategies that support student learning and mental health
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, social, and emotional issues
- Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for eligibility determination and development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assist in crisis intervention and prevention programs within the school community
- Maintain clear and accurate case records in compliance with state and federal regulations
