This role provides the chance to make a difference across elementary, middle, and high school settings while collaborating with a supportive multidisciplinary team.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active School Psychologist license in the state of Illinois (IL)
- Experience working within schools; proficiency with current best practices for assessments and interventions
- Comfortable conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments
- Strong grasp of special education law and early childhood evaluation processes
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage successfully with families, education partners, and team members
- Willingness to travel between multiple school sites as needed, especially for the Early Childhood assignment
Role Details:
- Monday–Friday; exact daily hours discussed during interview
- Two openings available:
- Early Childhood Psychologist (0.6 FTE/3 days week): Focus on screening and evaluating children ages 3–5, including those transitioning from early intervention. Requires traveling between three preschools in the area and active involvement in IEP meetings.
- K-4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE/5 days week): Responsibilities include evaluating K–4 students, facilitating MTSS team meetings, supporting IEP processes, and collaborating with educators and families.
- Expected to maintain comprehensive, timely documentation and participate in all required meetings
- No virtual-only (VOCO) roles available due to union requirements
