School Psychologist in Cicero, IL
Take the next step in your career as a travel school psychologist, working across elementary, middle, and high school settings in a vibrant educational community. This full-time contract runs from August 26, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering an engaging opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students and families.
Roles are available for both early childhood and K-4 settings, supporting a diverse range of learners. The majority of your work will focus on conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments, with some initial evaluations also required. The early childhood psychologist will screen and evaluate children transitioning from early intervention, traveling between multiple preschool locations, and play a vital role in supporting families new to the special education process. For K-4, you will facilitate MTSS data team meetings and guide teams through IEP processes.
Qualifications:
- Current license as a school psychologist in the State of Illinois
- Experience with early childhood assessments (for Early Childhood position)
- Strong knowledge of special education law and best practices
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with families, education partners, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to attending and facilitating IEP meetings, including re-evaluations and initial assessments
- Reliable transportation for travel between preschool sites (Early Childhood role)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening, initial, and reevaluation assessments and FBA’s
- Facilitate eligibility meetings and communicate findings to families and staff
- Collaborate within MTSS and IEP teams
- Maintain clear, ongoing communication with families and staff partners
- Provide expertise on special education law and best practices
