Make a difference supporting students across multiple grade levels as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational environment near Cicero, IL. This full-time contract opportunity spans from August 26, 2026 through June 11, 2027, Monday through Friday, with varied schedules based on assignment. You'll engage in meaningful, collaborative work to foster student success, meet compliance standards, and support families through the special education process.
Qualifications:
- Hold current School Psychologist licensure in Illinois
- Experience working in school settings across elementary, middle, and high school preferred
- Expertise in special education law, assessment, and intervention strategies
- Strong communication skills, especially with families new to the special education process
- Adept at collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and facilitating IEP meetings
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments for caseloads ranging from early childhood through high school
- Lead initial evaluations and collaborate on intervention plans
- For Early Childhood: Screen and evaluate students transitioning out of early intervention, serve children ages 3-5, and travel between preschools within the area
- For Grades K-4: Evaluate students, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, support IEP processes, and guide problem-solving meetings
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Serve as a resource to educators and build strong rapport with families
