Choose from two engaging assignments:

Early Childhood School Psychologist (0.6 FTE, 3 days/week): Provide screenings and evaluations for children transitioning from early intervention and those ages 3–5. Collaborate closely with families new to special education, preschool partners, and multidisciplinary teams. Flexibility to travel between three preschool sites in the area is essential. Attendance at IEP meetings and a strong grasp of early childhood evaluation best practices are required.

Grades K–4 School Psychologist (1.0 FTE, 5 days/week): Evaluate students in grades K–4, facilitate MTSS data team meetings, support the IEP process, and engage in collaborative problem-solving. Clear and consistent communication with families and school staff is a must, along with expert knowledge of special education law.
Qualifications:
- Must hold current licensure as a School Psychologist in the state of Illinois
- Experience working with school-aged children (elementary, middle, high) or early childhood (for the EC role)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- In-depth understanding of special education law and early childhood/best practices (as applicable)
- Ability to travel locally between assigned school sites
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational environments
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, re-evaluations, and functional behavioral assessments
- Participate in and lead eligibility meetings and IEP sessions
- Maintain clear, timely communication with families and educational teams
- Support and collaborate with both general and special education staff
