Exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist looking to make a meaningful impact with students from both elementary and high school levels. This contract-to-hire position offers a dynamic environment where you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to champion student well-being and academic success.
You’ll work 37.5 hours over five days each week, serving a diverse caseload of approximately 40-50 students. The role provides a rewarding blend of assessment, intervention, and consultative services tailored to meet the distinct needs of children and adolescents.
What You'll Need:
- Current and valid School Psychologist license through the State Board
- Master’s or higher in School Psychology or closely related field
- Experience providing psychological services in school settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of psychoeducational assessments, IEPs, and special education process
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Flexible, adaptive, and compassionate approach with students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, academic, and socio-emotional assessments
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to assist in eligibility determinations and educational planning
- Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to design effective interventions and supports
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines
