Join Our Team as a School Psychologist in Colorado Springs, Colorado! We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Psychologist to support the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional success of students in a school-based setting. Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychoeducational evaluations and assessments to determine student eligibility for special education services
Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to support student learning and development
Develop evaluation reports and present findings to multidisciplinary teams and families
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers to design effective interventions
Participate in IEP, eligibility, and multidisciplinary team meetings
Provide individual and group counseling services to support students' social-emotional and behavioral needs
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and positive behavior support strategies
Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention services when needed
Support school-wide initiatives related to mental health, student wellness, and positive school climate
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations
Qualifications
Required
Master’s Degree, Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.), or Doctorate in School Psychology
Active Colorado School Psychologist License or eligibility to obtain licensure
Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations and writing comprehensive reports
Knowledge of special education laws, IDEA regulations, and eligibility processes
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary educational teams
Preferred
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential
Previous school-based experience as a School Psychologist
Experience with autism evaluations, behavioral assessments, and intervention planning
Knowledge of MTSS, RTI, PBIS, and social-emotional learning frameworks
Experience providing counseling, crisis intervention, and mental health support services
Familiarity with educational assessment tools and data analysis
